Our Defensemen Development Sessions are designed for players who want to elevate every detail of their game as a defensemen. These sessions focus on the unique demands of becoming an elite defensemen, combining high-level instruction with purposeful, position‑specific training.

What We Will Work On:

• Defensemen‑Specific Skating & Footwork

We break down edge control, lateral mobility, pivoting, and escape patterns to help defensemen move efficiently in all directions and stay composed under pressure.

• Defending With Purpose

Players learn how to close gaps, angle attackers, manage space, and make smart reads—turning defensive situations into offensive opportunities.

• Stick Detail & Defensive Habits

From stick positioning to timing and disruption techniques, we sharpen the small details that separate good defensemen from the great ones.

• Passing & Puck Management

We emphasize crisp, accurate flat passing, breakout execution, deception, and confident puck handling under pressure.

• Shooting Techniques From the Blue Line

Defensemen develop the ability to get pucks through traffic, using different shot types, and create offense from the point with precision and poise, while under handling the puck.
